Can you use a freestyle snowboard mainly for freeriding even though it is meant for the terrain park?

Yes.
The only problem comes in powder. If you have a twin tip, with a centered stance, you are going to be working real hard in the powder. Keep your stance a little back, and get a directional if you are never in the park anyway.
If you are never doing freestyle, consider an all-mountain board instead of a park board.

Snowboard terrain parks? ?

Hi im planning to build a snowboard box and i would like to know what types of plastics you can use for the surface, I would also like to know what type of plastic the terrain parks use for their terrain boxes? Please and thank you( of course best answers will be chosen)

They almost always use HDPE on top. Check with a plastics supplier near you for price and what not. Also you don’t need to wax it, just throw some snow on it if you use HDPE.

Is the terrain park on vernon peak at mountain creek, NJ open yet for skiers and snowboarders?

I’m going snowboarding there for six days, but I like ridin park and rails. I can’t go to the south part (which is all terrain parks!).

There will be no terrain park on the vernon base… but there is a shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes from north to south and back and you do not need a separate pass to ride South. Also you can take a trail over there but its flat and not open – good news is the mountain is getting a foot of snow tonight!! whoohoo.

what snowboard should i get if i like doing terrain park stuff?

This season i had a rome agent which was pretty good in the terrian park for rails, jibs and pipes (ext). But it is all beat up so i need a new board for next season, i was thinking tech nine boards or a rome artifact…….does anyone have any suggestions on some good flexible park boards?

If you liked the Rome Agent for park, then you’ll love the rome artifact, it’s more of a park board than the agent so it’ll will do you good.

Are the snow conditions good in December in KIllington VT (I snowboard and like the terrain park)?

Im a snowboarder and plan on going to Killington before Christmas where there arnt many lines. Is there a lot of snow in December

Early December can be a craps shoot. The trails that have man-made snow are usually covered and the terrain area down on Bear should be open by the later part of the month. The upper mountain areas are almost all open, except for some sketchy areas and trails w/o snowmaking. The Canyons area is usually all open as are trails on the North Ridge. There’s no park features up that high, but it’s usually good. Those are some of the best runs at the resort, in my opinion.

What to use and how to build a backyard terrain park?

oK so I go snowboarding like 3 times a week, And I also play on AAU basketball, but i would like to know how to make a backyard terrain park, I live on a hill and have lights in my backyard. If you could add websites, and if it’s cheap than you

I am in the process of building a terrain park in back yard as well. If you want to have rails I would check out some higher end skate rails. If you are willing to spend some extra cash then would check out Straight Line Rails. As for the jumps just make a pile of snow and shape it until it launches you perfectly.

Good ski/snowboard songs for the terrain park?

So im going skiing tommorow with me friends and wanted to get a few songs to pu on my ipod. Mostly songs that could be put into use in the terrian park and/or getting us pumped for skiing while in the car. Thanks!

some kind of upbeat, fast rock song will work.

Although generally, being first in line on the weekends at 8 am and making that first run down the groomed double diamonds at top speed is enough to get me pumped for the day

whats a good sized terrain park ( jib) snowboard for me?

im a really skinny kid im only about 116 lbs and about 5′7 but im starting to get into doing the terrain park at my mountain but im looking for a new board and want it to be light and flexible and just a good terrain park freeride board with a wide stance. i ride a 146 now and it is pretty small but i dont want my next board to be really big. so wut would be a good size?

Um i’m 5 7′ and i do alot of park and for you i’d suggest a 150-152 that would fit you right down the middle not to big but not to small, so you have a little room too grow, but it will still work great as a board right now…
